Sit and chat a whileWe are an experienced team of neuropsychologists and psychologists in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We specialize in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Assessment: We provide comprehensive assessments for children, adolescents, and adults who have fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) or fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS), traumatic brain injury (TBI), attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), or learning disabilities (e.g., school difficulties in reading, writing, or math).

We have extensive experience with medical and neurological conditions such as stroke, tumour, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, neurofibromatosis, epilepsy, and more. Our assessments provide a comprehensive profile of a person's strengths and weaknesses, give you diagnostic clarification, and tell you what can be done to help.

We routinely complete neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments for the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services (DCS), Mi'kmaw Family and Children's Services of Nova Scotia (MFCS), and Jordan's Principle. We also provide independent neuropsychological evaluations (IME assessments) for the Worker's Compensation Board (WCB), Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), insurance companies, legal professionals, universities, and employers.

Therapy: We provide effective, evidence-based therapy services for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship problems, divorce, stress management, and more.

Teaching: We are a teaching practice. Dr. McInerney is a Clinical Associate in the Department of Psychology and Neurosciences at Dalhousie University. With patients' and clients' permission, clinical services may be provided with doctoral students from Dalhousie University and from other Canadian universities.
