Priority and Urgent Assessment Services
We now offer priority and urgent assessment services. Priority assessments occur within one to three months of the referral. Urgent assessments occur within 7-14 days of the referral.
To remain fair to those on our waitlist, priority and urgent assessments take place on our non-clinic days, after hours, and/or on the weekend. In other words, we create an extra assessment spot so that the general waitlist is unaffected. These assessments are subject to an additional fee, adding 50% to 75% to the usual fee.
Examples include:
- Pre-surgical baseline assessment (e.g., before neurosurgery)
- Assessments needed soon after an illness or injury to track progress over time (e.g., after a stroke or brain injury)
- Assessments required as part of a legal proceeding
- Time-sensitive court-ordered assessments
- Diagnostic clarification before an upcoming adoption
- Assessments required before starting a treatment program
- Assessments required before funding expires
We have a limited capacity to complete these assessments. Referrals are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss your needs and level of urgency.
